Cancer. Just the word alone sets off alarm bells.
And for good reason, cancer can kill.
But it’s important to remember that when it comes to cancer, context is incredibly important. And there’s nowhere that’s truer than it is with prostate cancer.
You see prostate cancer can be a bit of a sheep in wolf’s clothing. The truth is you’re far more likely to die with this type of cancer than from it.
In other words, unless you have a particularly aggressive and rare case–and the vast majority of men don’t–chances are prostate cancer isn’t a huge threat to your life.
Prostate cancer is typically VERY slow growing
Most cases of prostate cancer are exceedingly slow growing. And keeping an eye on them (and taking a few smart precautions which we’ll talk about in a moment) is often all that is needed.
In reality, many men pass away every year of simple old age after having lived a very long, very fulfilling life that INCLUDED a slow-growing prostate tumor they never even had a clue existed.
Unfortunately most men never learn this because there’s a huge, hungry multi-billion dollar cancer industry out there to feed (unreliable and typically unnecessary yearly PSA testing for example), and it relies on fear to keep the cash rolling in.
Your best bet is to find a holistic or integrative doctor that can work with you to maintain your prostate health, and if you ever do receive a diagnosis can help create a personalized non-invasive plan for managing it.
Don’t be left impotent and in diapers
Countless men have been left disfigured, impotent and even in diapers after aggressive prostate surgeries they may never have needed following aggressive testing that should never have been done in the first place.
Around 50 percent of men will have some sort of prostate problem by age fifty. If you find yourself wearing a hole in the rug from your seemingly endless trips to the bathroom you might be one of them.
If you reach eighty you’re virtually guaranteed to have some sort of prostate issue.
But having a cranky prostate doesn’t call for immediate aggressive testing—or the slash and burn surgeries that usually follow.
There are natural nutrients, vitamins and herbs that can help relieve your symptoms (or help keep them from every showing up in the first place if you’re lucky enough to have avoided them this far) without having to resort to harsh drugs or invasive surgeries including:
- vitamin D
- vitamin D
- nettle root
- saw palmetto
- Pygeum Africanum
- Essential fatty acids (EFAs)
- and more
