The winding down of the pandemic means the end of the roller coaster of stress, anxiety, and outright panic we’ve all felt over the past year and a half… right?
Surprise! That not exactly how things are shaking out.
Sure, the constant sense of impending doom might be easing up. But all our OLD stresses and worries were just waiting in the wings to stage a comeback.
You know what I’m talking about. It’s the family tensions… the money worries… the news… OTHER health concerns… and for folks still working, the job stuff.
And as you lie awake in bed worrying, it makes you wonder, “Will I ever catch a break?”
Well, my friend, the answer is YES. Because new research backs an easy-to-find blend of natural ingredients that can help slash stress and anxiety, restore calm, and help you FINALLY start to feel good again.
Best of all? No drugs required.
Beat stress with THIS power combo
One reason stress is so tough to treat is that it can have various causes and trigger a bunch of different reactions.
There are the external sources – those things you’re worried about – as well as internal reactions, ranging from hormones to neurotransmitters to inflammation.
So in some cases, the best option isn’t always a single remedy. It’s in a mix-and-match approach to hit the stress from every angle. And that’s exactly what the new study tested out.
Here’s the potent stress-busting combo the researchers settled on:
- vitamins B6, B9, and B12
- Rhodiola extract
- green tea extract
Some of the 100 stressed-out adults in the new study got everything in the formula. Some got all of it minus Rhodiola. Others got all of it minus the green tea. And some got a placebo.
Then, the researchers deliberately stressed them out. They asked the volunteers to give a speech as if they were applying for a job to a group of people. And the kicker? The group they were speaking to was instructed to act totally disinterested. But wait, it gets worse.
The speech alone would cause my stress levels to skyrocket. But the researchers ratcheted up the tension even further. They forced everyone to do some math in front of that same panel.
Honestly, I’m getting the shakes just THINKING about it.
Make this relaxing mix work for YOU
Overall, the folks in the study did measurably better when taking the combined supplements on most measures of stress. They reported feeling less of those jitters, and EEG exams confirmed their brains were literally in a more relaxed state.
But there is a bit of a catch. This was a single experiment over a single day.
In other words, this was NOT a long-term study of stress. We don’t know yet what effects the mix would have over the long haul. So taking the entire formula could turn out to be more of a “rescue” solution when your stress levels are spiking.
Also, by some measures, the partial-formula versions each worked about as well as the entire combo. Which I have to say makes total sense to me. You see, those two main ingredients… Rhodiola and green tea… are already pretty awesome on their own without the other stuff.
Rhodiola is a natural herbal remedy believed to help balance out stress hormones. It’s been taken for centuries to tackle stress, anxiety, and fatigue. And more recently, it’s even been used for a much more modern ailment: “mental exhaustion” or burnout.
And green tea contains L-theanine. This compound is known for helping to enhance focus. And emerging research reveals L-theanine could also help raise your levels of the “feel-good” compounds, serotonin and dopamine. Which, of course, is a great way to fight stress. (There’s one form of green tea that has “off the charts” levels of L-theanine. I shared all the details here in this earlier report.)
Each one is fantastic on its own and backed by a bunch of solid research. So you can certainly try a single-ingredient supplement first to see how well it works for you.
If it doesn’t do the trick… or isn’t working well enough… you can consider adding the other nutrients into your routine one at a time. Or look for a more comprehensive stress reduction formula that contains several, or all of them, to try.
