It’s a tale of two types…
Half of all seniors are quietly suffering from issues with their love life. They’re battling struggles they think are a normal part of aging and that they have no choice but to accept.
But the other half? They KNOW that’s not true.
Because they’re living proof, as a new report finds that millions of older Americans are not only still “doing it” but enjoying every deliciously satisfying sexy moment of it, too.
Don’t feel bad if you’re in that first group. Because I’ve got something else to share with you.
If your sex life leaves a bit to be desired, you can change that. In fact, you can join the second group and see for yourself how the other half lives.
Sex can IMPROVE with age
The new survey finds that three out of four seniors say their sex lives have changed now that they’re older. But it’s not always in the way you might think.
Forty-five percent say they’re currently enjoying the BEST time of their lives in the bedroom. Their sex life is even better than what they experienced in their 30s.
One in three of the seniors surveyed report more sex drive now than when they were younger. Plus, one in eight over the age of 50 say they’re even doing it FIVE TIMES every week OR MORE.
Now THAT’S one part of aging worth looking forward to.
One reason why? The empty nest. When the kids grow up and finally move out, it’s much easier to have sex whenever the mood strikes.
Oh, and wherever it strikes, too, apparently. As many survey responders reported testing out rooms other than the bedroom. The living room and laundry room are the two most common “other” places.
The report also provided some other insights. Like the researchers uncovered an important reason why sex is often so satisfying when you’re older. It boils down to intimacy.
Roughly a third of the older adults said they were more intimate today than when they were younger. Many explained they’ve had plenty of sex in their lives and can now focus not only on the act itself but the bonding and intimacy that comes with it.And that includes non-sexual acts that bring partners closer like an intimate dinner or a romantic walk.
Recharge your love life naturally
Of course, this also means that half of older folks AREN’T as fulfilled in the bedroom. But if you’re in that other group, you don’t have to stay there.
And you certainly don’t want to either. Because let’s face it, a satisfying love life simply makes living better. In fact, another recent study confirmed what you and I both already know. Sex is linked to greater enjoyment of life in older adults.
The good news is that many of the most common bedroom problems that surface as we age have a quick and easy fix.
For example, the hormone DHEA can help naturally increase testosterone. And that doesn’t just benefit the men. After menopause, women often need a little lift in their testosterone levels, too.
You can find DHEA supplements on their own. Just be sure to check in with your doc for the thumbs up first since DHEA is a hormone. Or you can give natural stress-busting ashwagandha a try instead. The herb can stimulate your body to produce its own DHEA.
In addition, older folks are often low in zinc. And like DHEA, this mineral is critical for maintaining healthy testosterone levels and sexual function. So have your levels checked to see where you stand. If your numbers are low, a high protein diet or a low-dose zinc orotate supplement could help.
