For example, the American Heart Association just issued a “scientific statement” declaring omega-3 fatty acids are both safe and effective for slashing dangerous triglycerides.

The new guidelines refer to the growing stack of evidence that PUFAs are major mood helpers. In other words, they can be a valuable part of your treatment for depression.
For those responding well to an antidepressant, the folks at the ISNPR say PUFAs can accelerate the effectiveness of the meds.
Plus, they can help fill in gaps when the drugs AREN’T performing up to par. Which, of course, we know, is likely FAR more often than mainstream medicine likes to admit.
The ISNPR even recommends PUFAs to help head off depression BEFORE it starts. A solution folks who practice integrative medicine have ALREADY been using for well over a decade.
Beat back depression NATURALLY
To help treat major depression, the ISNPR is recommending one to two grams per day (1000 to 2000 mg) of a high-quality EPA supplement… or a combo of EPA and DHA… for at least eight weeks.
And popping a daily fish oil pill once you begin to recover from your depression could also help KEEP the blues at bay.
