There’s an old saying, “Judge someone by their enemies.” And when it comes to probiotic supplements, they’ve made ALL the right ones.
For years, these belly-boosting bacteria have flown under the radar, a sort of “insider’s secret” in natural health circles.
Then they broke out in a big way as millions have now turned to probiotics – including up to one in five seniors. So naturally, these supplements are now under attack.
No, not by those millions, of course. They KNOW the supplements work, and I’ll share some of their biggest benefits with you in just a moment.
Because that, my friend, is the real problem. The benefits.
They work so well that they’re becoming a HUGE threat to the drug industry’s bottom line. And that’s the simple reason for all the recent attacks from mainstream medicine.
But now, the latest research completely dismantles the biggest argument against these powerful supplements.
The TRUTH about probiotics
They know they can’t convince people that probiotics don’t work.
That horse left the barn long ago. Far too many people have FELT the benefits for themselves and KNOW the supplements can do the trick.
So they’ve changed tactics. Instead, they’re choosing to be condescending to make you feel like a fool for even considering taking a probiotic.
“The science just isn’t there yet,” they insist.
Oh, they’ll admit that probiotics are “promising.” But then they claim there just aren’t enough studies yet. And they darkly imply that this means there could be safety issues because of this supposed lack of research.
So a group of scientists with no horse in the game decided to settle this controversy once and for all. They combed through the existing literature to see just how small the body of evidence actually is.
They searched through the archives of studies on the ClinicalTrials.gov website and the World Health Organization’s trial database. Which, according to the probiotic haters should have been like hunting for a needle in a haystack.
Instead, they found more than 1,600 clinical trials. That’s more needles than hay!
What’s more, most of that research is current and modern, with over 100 new clinical trials on probiotics every year over the past 10 years. That’s a new study every three and a half days for a decade.
How to pick a good belly bug supplement
The most popular subject of research is also one of the most popular strains, the Lactobacillus rhamnosus. You’ll find it at the heart of many of today’s probiotic formulas.
L. rhamnosus and other friendly bacteria can help you digest food, absorb nutrients, break down meds, control “bad” bacteria populations, and more.
And the research finds they could help prevent or improve…
- diarrhea
- constipation
- urinary tract infections
- the common cold
- yeast infections
- antibiotic side effects
- depression
- anxiety
- memory loss
- and MORE
In fact, if there’s any “risk” at all, it’s wasting your money on inferior supplements.
Probiotics have become so popular that there are now a lot of worthless “supermarket” blends out there. They often don’t contain the right kind of belly bugs or, if they do, have levels that are far too low.
In some cases, the quality can be so low… or the store stock so old… that many may not be “live” or “active.” So make it a point to seek out a high-quality probiotic blend from a trusted manufacturer.
Look for a supplement that contains HIGH levels of probiotics. You’ll want to pick one with BILLIONS of CFUs (colony-forming units), not just millions. And seek out PROVEN strains such as L. rhamnosus, Lactobacillus acidophilus, and Bifidobacterium longum, to name just a few of the best.
