You can’t ignore it anymore. When your blood sugar spikes, it’s time to act.
And that’s true even IF you don’t have diabetes yet. Because quick action today could help ensure you never develop this disease tomorrow.
And new research CONFIRMS one ridiculously easy and effective step you can take right now. It’s …
- safe
- cheap
- entirely natural
Best of all, with fall just around the corner, it’s already one of your seasonal favorites.
A new study confirms something Healthier Talk readers have been hearing about for years. And that is CINNAMON is a superstar when it comes to reigning in blood sugar.
In fact, according to researchers, this delicious spice could be a key player in controlling blood sugar in prediabetes. It could even help stop the condition from progressing into the full-blown version of the disease.
You just need to make sure you get the RIGHT stuff. And I can help you do just that.
Put prediabetes in its place with cinnamon
Everyone loves the warm bite of cinnamon, right?
But what it does for your recipes… especially those fall favorites… is nothing compared to what it can do for your body. Because supplementing with cinnamon could help your system fight off disease-linked inflammation, oxidation, and more.
Of course, it’s been known for years to insiders as a “natural secret” for blood sugar control. But it may not be a secret for much longer.
The new study lets the cat out of the bag in a big way. The research shows how cinnamon can help cut fasting plasma glucose levels and how it works BEST in the folks who need its help the MOST.
And that, of course, is people with prediabetes.
TRANSFORM your blood sugar and DODGE diabetes
Researchers gave 51 people with blood sugar levels right in the middle of the “prediabetes” range, either cinnamon or a placebo for 12 weeks.
And for the three months, the folks who got the placebo saw their fasting plasma glucose levels continue to rise. On average, they jumped by more than a point a month, or an average of 4.5 mg/dL over the 12-week study.
Sadly, that’s not surprising. It’s pretty much what you expect to see in prediabetes. Some 88 million Americans have the condition. And every year, it turns to “real” diabetes in about 10 percent of them.
Cinnamon, however, could help make sure you’re NOT on the list.
The folks in the new study who got the supplement didn’t see the same increase in fasting plasma glucose levels. In fact, they didn’t see ANY increase at all. It’s as if the cinnamon put the freeze on prediabetes, helping to hold the line on blood sugar.
But don’t be fooled. You won’t get this effect from coffee cakes or pumpkin pies. You’ll need a supplement. For the most blood-sugar battling bang for your buck, look for a water-based extract.
And as I shared earlier this week, it’s not enough to simply hold the line when it comes to prediabetes. You need to reverse it because it can raise the risk of serious heart problems and death even if it never advances to full-diabetes.
One big step in the right direction is a diet with zero processed foods, which can help you lose weight, and bring blood sugar down, even more, to get you out of the danger zone.
