There are thousands of foods labeled “natural”, but are they really better for you? You can purchase “natural” foods, but when you look at the label you may see there are preservatives, chemicals, colors and dyes included. Just because it says “natural” on the label, it doesn’t necessarily mean it is healthy.
If you want natural food, you can always be sure you are getting the real thing when you select fresh raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, herbs and sprouted living foods. Processed foods, even those with the natural label lack the good nutrition that organic fresh produce offers. Pre-prepared processed foods may seem quick and easy, but they could be compromising your good health, and even the best vitamin and mineral supplements cannot make up for poor nutrition.
A lot of the so-called natural foods found in mainstream grocery stores and health foods stores contain genetically modified (GM) ingredients. Did you know the cells of fish are being added to strawberries with the idea that because fish can survive in cold water, GM strawberries with fish cells can be grown in colder climates? Pig cells are being added to tomatoes so they will last longer and stay fresher. Organic produce is not genetically modified, so you can actually get real strawberries and real tomatoes.
Poor nutrition has been directly related to low energy, depression, cancer, diabetes and heart disease as well as many other health issues. Eating organic raw and living foods could help you stay healthy longer and prevent diseases. Heating food to over 112 degrees kills the living enzymes and compromises the vitamins and minerals. Raw and living foods which are not heated have more nutrition. Conventional produce which has been grown and sprayed with chemicals poses a serious health risk. Organic produce tastes better and has no chemicals on or in it.
All fruits, vegetables and herbs have specific health benefits so when you are choosing what to eat think about how those particular foods are going to benefit you. Fresh raw garlic helps eliminate lead and other toxic heavy metals from the body and rids the alimentary canal of worms and other parasites, boosting immunological functions. Lemon juice is an outstanding source of vitamin C and has a strong alkaline reaction in the body. It can destroy putrefactive bacteria in both the intestines and mouth. Cayenne Pepper helps the digestion and has a cleansing action upon the large intestine which can help destroy worms and parasites. Oregano helps rid the body of poisons, strengthens the stomach and expels gas from the gastrointestinal tract. Zucchini is a highly alkaline food and excellent remedy for acidosis of the liver and blood. It is one of the mildest and easiest vegetables to digest. Basil is good for the nerves and counteracts flatulence, stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting and constipation.
Hippocrates, the father of medicine, said, “Let food be your medicine, let medicine be your food.” This great advice is timeless. Mother Nature provides us with natural, real food straight from the garden and full of vitamins and minerals. Indulge yourself in this wonderful bounty. Brenda Cobb founded the Living Foods Institute in Atlanta, Georgia in September 1999 just seven months after she was diagnosed with breast and cervical cancer. She refused the surgery and chemotherapy that her doctor recommended because she had seen her own family members and friends diagnosed with the same type of cancers try the traditional treatments and fail. Brenda set out on a journey to explore a natural way of healing and discovered Raw and Living Foods and Detoxification.
What began as the biggest challenge in Brenda’s life turned into a wonderful gift to humanity. Since opening the Living Foods Institute Brenda has expanded her Healthy Lifestyle Course to help people heal on every level. She and her staff have trained thousands of people from all over the world with every type of disease from Cancer, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Candida, Arthritis, Allergies, Asthma, AIDS and Lupus to Multiple Sclerosis, Bell’s Palsy, Depression, Migraine Headaches, Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia and many more chronic and acute illnesses.
Brenda’s mission to help “Heal the World One Person at a Time” is being fulfilled every day as the internationally acclaimed Living Foods Institute is now known around the world.
