Big Pharma’s attempts to tackle Alzheimer’s disease and stop memory loss have all been miserable failures.
Oh, they keep reaching for the brass ring, all right.
But with nearly eight million Americans and their loved ones looking on hopefully, they’ve managed to miss it by a mile every single time.
In fact, virtually ALL clinical trials of Alzheimer’s drugs are a bust.
Out of over 400 tested between 2002 and 2012 only one single drug made it all the way through to approval. But even IT can’t stop the progression of Alzheimer’s and loss of memory… let alone cure it.
And unfortunately, things AREN’T looking up, either.
Billions have already been invested in the chase to strike pharma gold. But while there are dozens of medications in development, nothing on the drug front looks even remotely positive.
And chances are that’s because conventional medicine’s understanding of the disease is all wrong.
Big Pharma Alzheimer’s drugs miss the mark
We know brain-cell killing amyloid-beta fibers accumulate in the brains of folks with Alzheimer’s. And we can see that tau tangles build up in there too.
Virtually ALL of the drugs ever developed target this amyloid and tau. But there’s so much more that we DON’T know about the disease.
And the failure of drug after drug suggests mainstream medicine may have been focusing on the wrong target all along.
Which is why a new animal study that has done something the drugs have NEVER DONE… literally REVERSED Alzheimer’s symptoms… is so exciting.
Researchers at the Keck School of Medicine managed to restore working memory in mice using a natural two-ingredient “cocktail” you could cook up in your own kitchen.
A mixture of epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) which is found in green tea and ferulic acid (FA) found in carrots, tomatoes, and oats.
Green tea and carrot extract mix RESTORED memory
For the study, the researchers used mice which were genetically programmed to develop Alzheimer’s disease.
Thirty-two of the critters who were showing Alzheimer’s symptoms were divided into four groups, along with an equal number of healthy mice.
The mice were run through a bunch of thinking and memory tests including a maze which tests spatial working memory.
Then for three months, they were fed either…
- a combo of EGCG and FA
- FA alone
- EGCG alone
- a placebo
At the end of the 90 days, the mice had their memory and thinking retested. And the results were downright REMARKABLE.
The memory-impaired mice in Group 1 which had received the mix of EGCG and FA extracts didn’t just improve a little. The combo cocktail COMPLETELY RESTORED their working memory.
In fact, the mice with Alzheimer’s performed every bit as well as the healthy mice. You basically couldn’t tell them apart.
EGCG and FA mix targets Alzheimer’s in TWO ways
And researchers already have some ideas about how the cocktail managed this incredible memory restoring feat.
The first has to do with those amyloid beta fibers I mentioned earlier.
But instead of trying to destroy the mature fibers, the EGCG and FA appear to prevent the precursor proteins from ever breaking up into those smaller amyloid beta bits that clog up the brain.
And that’s not all. The combo has another trick up its sleeve which could be responsible for the reversal of symptoms and restoration of memory.
The tag team also targets both the oxidative stress and neuroinflammation that are associated with Alzheimer’s.
Now, of course, we don’t know yet how well the combo cocktail will work on humans. But there’s every reason to believe we will see some significant memory benefits too.
We’d probably have to cool our heels for a decade or more for a pricey Big Pharma drug based on this remarkable research to hit the market. But there’s no reason to wait around that long when you can just head to the grocery store.
Green tea, carrots, tomatoes, and steel cut oats have plenty of health benefits beyond their potential to fight dementia. So you can start adding more of them to your diet right away. And both EGCG and FA are available as supplements as well.
Try the two ingredient brain “cocktail” TODAY to hold on your precious memories TOMORROW and for many more years to come.
