There’s no such thing as a “good” cancer. But the reality is some of them are a heck of a lot worse than others.
And some of the worst of all never get the attention they deserve.
Take liver cancer, for example.
When’s the last time you saw someone wearing a liver cancer ribbon? Read anything about a liver cancer awareness day? Or watched someone talk about it on TV?
Probably never.
So today, I’m going to correct the record on liver cancer.
More importantly, I’ve got an easy tip that can help ensure you NEVER face this devastating disease yourself.
Because there’s something you probably already LOVE that can not only give you protection right where you need it…
It could even help cut your risk in HALF.
Why liver cancer cases are on the RISE
The rate of nearly every cancer has plunged in recent years.
But NOT this one.
Since 1980, liver cancer cases have TRIPLED. More than 42,000 Americans are now diagnosed with this disease every year.
But it gets worse. Liver cancer is also often deadly.
Four out of five liver cancer patients are dead within five years. In fact, four Americans die of this disease every hour of every day of the year.
Once upon a time, liver cancer was a risk mostly for just heavy drinkers. But today, the problem isn’t drinking. It’s eating.
The Western diet is loaded with ultra-processed foods, junk carbs, and bad fats. And our bathroom scales reflect what it’s doing to us.
As you gain weight, your liver struggles to process the excess fat. Some of it stays behind – right there in the liver – and you end up with what’s called fatty liver disease.
Close to 100 million Americans have this condition. But since it has no symptoms early on, most of them don’t even know it.
Over time, however, fatty liver can lead to cirrhosis, steatohepatitis, fibrosis, and cancer.
And that’s why this cancer has emerged as a major threat and a rising cause of death.
Pour yourself a mug of liver protection
But there is one surprising way to fight back that I bet you’re going to love.
Drink coffee.
Researchers say downing a regular cup of the old java juice could cut your risk of hepatocellular carcinoma in HALF.
That’s the most common form of liver cancer. It’s responsible for 90 percent of all cases. And your risk for developing it could plummet if you drink coffee.
But that’s just ONE way that coffee supports liver health. Another study found a daily habit can deliver a…
- 27 percent lower risk of liver fibrosis
- 29 percent lower risk of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
- 39 percent lower risk for cirrhosis of the liver
The secret is likely in the healthy polyphenols and other protective nutrients found in every mug full. They, naturally, fight back against cellular damage and could help stop liver cancer tumors from forming.
Just watch what you put into your coffee. Sugar can hurt your liver, not help it. For maximum benefits, drink it black or with a splash of cream.
