Men, let’s face it, you’re under a lot of pressure. Taking care of bills, the family, social obligations, and your own health is enough to send any guy’s stress level soaring. But when all that stress follows you into the bedroom, and temperatures start rising, things can suddenly head south fast.
And the fact that it’s quite common—or knowing that bedroom troubles strike millions of men a year—doesn’t make you feel a bit better when your queen has commanded a performance, and you find you can’t deliver.
The potential side effects of heavy-duty E.D. drugs… from stomach pains to vision changes… are enough to make you want to head for the couch and avoid the bedroom altogether.
Don’t. Let nature lend you a helping hand instead.
Be ready for love whenever the mood strikes
Reignite your love life, and rekindle the passion naturally, with these three nutrients that can help take things from weak to WOW in the bedroom in no time…
This non-essential amino acid could really turn things around in the bedroom. L-citrulline is converted by your kidneys into L-arginine and nitric oxide, both of which are vital to heart and blood vessel health.
So what do your heart and blood vessels have to do with what happening “down there”? Bien, it turns out, everything. You see, good blood flow is absolutely essential for getting, and maintaining, an erection. Which is why when researchers tested oral L-citrulline on 24 guys who were experiencing erectile dysfunction they ended up with stronger erections, and reported being more satisfied with their love life.1
You’ll find L-citrulline in watermelon, dark chocolate, pomegranates, walnuts, oranges, beets and spinach. But to raise your levels enough to see a real difference, you might want to consider a supplement. Aim for 1 a 1.5 grams a day.
Nitric oxide (NO), the other by-product of L-citulline metabolism, has an additional trick up its sleeve. Your body needs a good amount of this neurotransmitter to get and maintain erections. NO relaxes and smooths your muscles, allowing blood to flow to exactly where you need it most.2
Vitamin B3 (niacin) and B12 could turn out to be the surprising secret ingredients that help put the sizzle back in the sack.
Research has revealed that vitamin B3, or niacin, can help improve the symptoms of E.D. When a group of 80 guys with bedroom troubles and high cholesterol were given B3, they reported an improvement in their ability to perform.3
Foods high in vitamin B3 include fish, chicken, pork, liver, beef, peanuts, portabella mushrooms and sunflower seeds. In addition, you can get an extra punch from a supplement.
Vitamin B12 helps your body convert the food you eat into energy, while helping to produce red blood cells. In addition, this vital vitamin is essential for maintaining a healthy heart and cardiovascular system, as well as a healthy brain.
With its ties to energy and cardiovascular health, it’s really no wonder that a chronic deficiency of B12 can play a role in bedroom performance. And since some experts estimate as high as 39 percent of folks are running low on B12—and older folks are at an even higher risk for a deficiency—there’s a good chance you may be too.4
You can raise your B12 levels by eating more fish, shellfish, eggs, dairy, beef and pork. Vitamin B12 is also available as a supplement, either as part of a B complex, a multi-nutrient formula or alone. In addition to eating more B12 rich foods, we typically recommend around 100 mcg for a bedroom boost.
3. Panax Ginseng:
Take a walk on the more exotic side with panax ginseng, a plant that grows naturally in China, Korea and far eastern Siberia. The root of panax ginseng has traditionally been used to—among other things—improve physical stamina, work efficiency and athletic endurance. Which should make it clear why it made it onto our list.
In traditional Chinese medicine panax ginseng is often used to treat E.D., and multiple studies have found the herb to be both safe and effective.5 For example, in one study when 45 men with E.D. took red ginseng they reported significant improvement in their symptoms, compared to guys who got a placebo.6
Oh, and ladies, this one can reportedly help with your libido too!7
