They keep quietly dumping more and junk in your food. Troubling additives which they’re hoping that NO ONE will notice they’re feeding you.
Well, I noticed.
And I’m here today with the warning you won’t find on any food label – because multiple new studies reveal the TRUTH about what you’re eating.
It’s quietly wrecking you in ways you won’t see or feel.
Not at first anyway.
But slowly, over time, these HIDDEN additives deliberately dumped into your food can lead to infection… disease… and even DEATH.
The slow and deadly damage of food additives
People are more conscious than ever about what they eat, which is great. But for the most part, people only ask just two questions about their food:
- Is it organic?
- Does it contain GMOs?
Both are important. But there’s one even more critical question you should ask:
- What additives are in my food?
Additives are used to enhance flavor, extend shelf life, improve texture, change color, and more. You’ll find dozens, maybe HUNDREDS, of additives in everything from a chicken sandwich to an ice cream sundae.
Many of them have never truly been tested. And those that have gone through testing are often proven dangerous, as two new studies show with shocking clarity:
1. Tert-butylhydroquinone (tBHQ):
Don’t even bother trying to say it. And definitely, don’t eat it. This compound used in frozen foods and cooking oils (especially fast-food frying oils) has been linked to a host of health risks. One new study on mice finds the additive can damage the immune system, making it difficult to fight off infections such as cold and flu.
2. Propionate:
Tests on both mice and humans finds this stuff can trigger changes in hormones that lead to struggles with blood sugar. If that’s not enough, it can also cause you to gain weight. It’s basically a killer case of diabetes, hiding in your food. The additive is used in both animal feed and baked goods, which says a lot about what they think of you. BAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
The label lie putting YOU in danger
Those are just TWO examples, from the most recent studies.
Believe me, the rest aren’t much better!
Common additives have been linked to cancer, developmental problems, food allergies, digestive disorders, and more.
And thanks to labeling loopholes big enough to drive a doughnut truck through, it’s a lot harder to avoid these additives than it should be.
In the case of tBHQ, for example, “incidental” use doesn’t have to be put on the label.
What’s “incidental” use?
Whatever they want it to be!
The result is that it’s rarely on the label even when it’s IN the food.
So don’t trust labels. Avoid the additives by buying foods that don’t have labels instead, starting with fresh meats and produce, ideally organic, to limit your exposure to other chemicals including pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides.
Will it make your food tougher to prepare? A little perhaps… but probably not as much as you think. And a little more prep cooking is certainly less work that battling everything from diabetes to the flu.
