I’m partial to real Christmas trees. I know they often aren’t very practical. But in my book, nothing beats the smell and look of the real deal when you can get it.
But today, I want to talk about a different sort of pine tree. This very special evergreen grows along the coast of southwest France. And hidden inside its fragrant bark is a treasure.
Extracts from this pine tree’s bark contain a unique combination of phytochemicals, including bioflavonoids, procyanidins, and phenolic acids. Together, this potent mix offers a variety of potential immunomodulating, antioxidant, and cellular protective benefits.
Now I know that might sound like a bunch of jargon. But all you really need to know is that research has revealed this potent pine bark extract has bunches of real-world health benefits.
The pine bark may have the power to:
- ENHANCE circulation
- FIGHT arthritis pain
- IMPROVE memory
- PROTECT blood vessels
- REDUCE diabetes risk
- INHIBIT cellular damage
- EASE lymphedema
- And MORE
And one study found this same compound may do something else that’s stymied doctors, specialists, therapists, and drug companies alike for years.
For some folks, it can deliver real relief from the body-wide muscle and joint pain and debilitating fatigue that marks the mysterious condition called fibromyalgia.
Beat fibromyalgia with this circulation superstar
I don’t envy drug company scientists. I imagine they have to get really good at facing failure.
After all, if you’re a Big Pharma researcher, you can spend years locked away in a lab working on chemical concoctions that contain a little bit of everything but the kitchen sink, only to have them FAIL time and time again.
Then one day, over lunch, your paging through a journal, and BAM, you see someone beat you to the finish line… AGAIN. And in this case, they were shown up by a pine tree. Talk about humbling.
The French maritime pine is a relative of the same pine trees popping up in living rooms across America ahead of the Christmas holiday.
And an extract made from the bark of the tree has become an increasingly popular remedy in natural medicine, helping people battling everything from heart issues to cancer treatment side effects.
Now scientists say it could also be the answer for folks struggling with the nightmare of fibromyalgia.
In the study, the extract helped reduce the oxidative stress that marks this often-agonizing condition. That, in turn, reportedly led to improvements in just about EVERY major fibromyalgia symptom, including…
- pain
- stiffness
- “pins and needles”
- fatigue
- brain fog
- irritable bowels
- migraines and other headaches
- stress
And for a group of folks who have long been let down by conventional medicine, those kinds of results are practically a Christmas miracle.
A REAL alternative to ineffective Big Pharma pills
We’re not talking about tiny improvements here either. They’re the kinds of advances that Big Pharma keeps promising and failing to deliver on.
In fact, this “Christmas Tree” solution worked so well that many of the fibromyalgia patients who tried it were able to cut back on at least two risky types of meds…
- corticosteroid drugs
- NSAID painkillers
For less than four bucks a month, you could try to replicate those same results at home. The study volunteers took just 150 mg a day.
Need a little more support? Last year I wrote about another proven-effective drug-free option for battling fibromyalgia pain and fatigue. If you missed that issue you can catch up here.
