Every scar tells a story.
So I’ve decided to come up with some better ones for mine. “Chopping a carrot and missed” is kind of boring. But injured from a previous career as a gator wrangler?
Now THAT’S exciting.
Go ahead. Feel free to jazz up your own life with tales of fighting off KGB assassins, crashing at Le Mans, or the injury that kept you out of the Olympics.
But there’s another kind of long-ago damage that tells a different type of story.
It’s a piece of your history you can’t rewrite… even in jest… because you CAN’T see it and WON’T know it’s there.
It’s a “secret scar” caused by exposure to one of the worst toxins out there.
But today, I’m going to give you a chance to erase that hidden scar, reverse the damage, and protect yourself from deadly chronic disease.
It’s got a great story, too. One that you won’t even have to make up because this one starts with fiber filled guacamole.
Banned chemical could be making you sick
Remember PCBs?
They were banned way back in 1979, so they don’t get a whole lot of attention today.
But don’t kid yourself. We’re still exposed. Widespread contamination means it’s still in the soil and even the water, and it routinely turns up in meat, milk, fish, and more.
And once you’re exposed, it can hurt you for a LONG time. The half-life for PCBs in the human body is 15 YEARS.
In plain talk, that means it takes 15 years for your body to clear half of the toxins… which means you STILL have half left inside you at that point.
And that’s why you almost certainly have some PCBs inside you, right now, increasing the risk of deadly health conditions including heart problems.
But the new study finds a way to BLOCK the damage. Eat more fiber.
A high-fiber diet appears to help block some of the damage of PCBs on the cardiovascular system and in other key places, including the liver and the gut.
The damage that fiber rich GUAC can BLOCK
And that’s where guacamole comes into the picture.
When most people think of fiber, they think of choking down dry and flavorless bran husks. Or, worse yet, dry grainy bread loaded with empty carbs.
Avocado is a game-changer.
It’s not only delicious. It’s also a TOP source of fiber… not to mention filling healthy fats, essential minerals, and powerful disease-fighting vitamins and antioxidants.
And when mixed with other nutritional powerhouses like the garlic, tomatoes, and peppers in your guacamole recipe, it becomes even better… giving you an excuse to make sure you don’t just break out the guac for the Super Bowl and Cinco de Mayo, but all year long.
By the way, you don’t have to eat your guacamole with chips. They’re just processed junk anyway. Heck, it’s practically an insult to the avocado to waste in on a cheap chip.
Instead, you can use guacamole as a topping for fish, poultry, and omelets. You can mix it into salads. It even can be used to make some of the best chicken salad you’ll ever have. Just swap the mayo in the recipe for your guac, and you’ll have a side dish that can’t be beaten.
