It’s finally happened. We’ve reached a point where finding out something can cause cancer… even water… doesn’t surprise us anymore.
Doesn’t matter what it is or where you find it.
And if you doubt me just consider a few recent headlines, which link cancer to…
- not enough sun
- the tasty burnt bits of BBQ
- cellphone radiation
- French fries
- tea served too hot
- too much sun
- microwave popcorn
- pickles
- talcum powder
- sunscreen
No doubt, some of those things certainly CAN cause cancer. But for some of them, the risk is likely WAY overblown.
But you know the media. They simply just can’t resist a juicy headline like “PICKLES CAUSE CANCER” or “YOUR BBQ WILL KILL YOU.”
Meanwhile, they’re ignoring the biggest risks of all.
That includes an urgent new warning you probably didn’t even see. It got hardly any media coverage at all.
Where cancer REALLY IS hiding
Consider these two statements…
- Your drinking water is perfectly safe.
- Your drinking water contains dozens of chemicals PROVEN to cause cancer – and in high enough levels to trigger 100,000 cases of the disease.
Which one is true? Well, as crazy as it sounds… BOTH.
A shocking new report finds nearly two dozen different cancer-causing chemicals in dangerously high levels in U.S. drinking water.
Not just here or there. These dangerous toxins are practically EVERYWHERE. In fact, the study is based on samples taken from close to 50,000 different water systems all over the nation.
The most common contaminants include:
- arsenic
- disinfection byproducts
- uranium
- radium
Yes, uranium and radium… in your drinking water.
The analysis by Environmental Working Group finds that smaller communities that use groundwater as their primary source tend to have the highest risk of contamination.
But really, anyone could be at risk, anywhere.
EPA gives OK to chemicals in drinking water
Now, this is where it gets crazy.
We KNOW these chemicals are dangerous. We KNOW they cause cancer in the levels found in water. And we KNOW they shouldn’t be there.
Yet remember that first statement about your water being safe? It’s still true.
Well, sort of. You see, thanks to a series of wild loopholes in U.S. regulations, the federal government considers many of these chemicals in the water to be “safe” at these levels.
All of that stuff can be in your water, and it’ll STILL meet every EPA standard on the books. Because, you know, what’s a little arsenic between friends?
Clearly, you can’t count on water regulations to keep you safe. And you can’t count on water districts to filter these toxins out.
But you CAN take action to clean your own water, and it won’t cost too much time, money, or effort.
A reverse osmosis water system can filter out nearly everything, even radium, and uranium. You can get an affordable unit at the local hardware store. And if you’re not handy, a plumber can hook it up in an hour or two.
