I think we could all use some good news right now. And I’m happy to report I have some in the form of health advice that doesn’t stink.
New research reveals a step guys can take to protect their prostate and cut the risk of a deadly form of cancer. And it’s NOT the usual nagging to quit something you love or start something you hate.
In fact, this is a guilty habit you likely are ALREADY doing. And that’s having a cup of coffee with your breakfast.
Researchers say not only is there no reason to feel guilty about downing that mug of morning mud, but you should also enthusiastically continue with the habit. Because it turns out coffee can do so much more than just give you a jolt of energy or a burst of brainpower.
This “bad habit” may actually be a powerful form of prostate protection in disguise.
And you’re just a few mugs away from taking this daily indulgence to the next level and MAXIMIZING its potent cancer-fighting powers.
Coffee cuts prostate cancer risks
Yes, we ARE talking about plain old coffee here—America’s number one favorite breakfast beverage and afternoon pick-me-up.
Powerful compounds in this delicious brew are already known to travel around your body, supporting your heart, brain, and beyond. But now new research reveals this potent brew could also help squash prostate cancer BEFORE it even has a chance to form.
The analysis of 16 studies involving some one million men and 58,000 cases of cancer finds drinking ANY amount of coffee could cut your prostate risk, at least by a little. But there’s even better news for true coffee loving men.
The MORE you guzzle, the BIGGER the prostate benefits.
Guys who drink the most coffee are about 10 percent less likely to develop the disease. Plus, they’re 7 percent less likely to develop localized prostate cancer than men who drink little to none.
The more your drink the bigger the benefits
But let’s face it. The “overall” risk isn’t really the scary part since most localized prostate cancer cases aren’t considered very dangerous. In fact, many don’t even need to be treated.
It’s the advanced cancers that men, rightly, fear the most. And that’s where coffee REALLY shines.
According to the new research, java can cut the risk of these aggressive and often deadly tumors by up to 16 percent. And again, the biggest benefits go to guys who drink more.
So go ahead and refill your mug.
But whatever you do, don’t start messing with your coffee by adding sugary syrups and sweeteners. The study didn’t look at these flavored brews specifically. Still, we know from other studies that prostate cancers can FEED off sugar.
One study found that men who drink sugar-sweetened beverages, including coffee, have a 21 percent higher risk of the disease. So if you want the benefits, drink it black or maybe with a splash of cream.
Looking for even MORE reasons to enjoy some guilt-free coffee every day? I’ve got them right here in this free special report.
