It’s hard to think of a more frightening diagnosis. Because it’s not just cancer. It’s BRAIN cancer.
Brain cancer often not only has no cure, but it also doesn’t have many good treatment options either. But that could be about to change in a BIG way.
Researchers say they may have found another powerful way to get the upper hand against this often-deadly disease.
Surprisingly it’s not some pricey new drug with side effects as bad as the disease. Instead, it’s something that’s been around for a very long time. And it has an almost unparalleled safety record.
The only problem? It’s often considered “forbidden.”
Conquer cancer with cannabidiol?
Not too long ago, cannabidiol, or CBD, was a substance you were forced to talk about in hushed tones. Otherwise, folks might mistake you for some kind of pothead.
That’s ridiculous, of course. After all, CBD is NOT marijuana. You DON’T smoke it. And CBD CAN’T make you high.
But there are some things CBD will do. This powerful compound has been shown to help with everything from sleep troubles to pain and stress relief.
Regular users of the oil swear by it. Just ask them. Most love sharing their success stories using this potent natural therapy. And research confirms what those folks are experiencing in the real world.
But this once “forbidden” compound has an even bigger benefit hidden up its sleeve. CBD might have a natural ability to help fight off cancer.
In fact, research reveals this hemp-derived chemical may be able to help with several forms of the disease… and in two different ways.
CBD could help to battle tumors directly. Plus, cannabidiol has been found to help ease some of the sickening side effects of traditional cancer treatments such as chemotherapy.
Target brain tumors with CBD
The study uncovered what could be the most important CBD benefit of all. The compound has the potential to help treat and defeat deadly brain cancer in some cases.
Two forms of the hemp extract were put to the test in the lab:
- CBD isolate: 100 percent pure CBD
- CBD extract: CBD with other compounds, including cannabigerol and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)
Both were effective against brain cancer cells taken from human and dog glioblastomas (brain tumors).
It appears that CBD targets the cancer cell’s energy factories or mitochondria. This cuts off the power they use to grow and spread. Once robbed of their energy, the cells swell and collapse, essentially self-destructing.
Next, scientists need to move on to human studies to see if it works inside our bodies as well as in the lab. And researchers need to figure out the best way to deliver CBD to the tumor.
But not everyone wants to wait. And that’s especially true for folks with cancer who feel like they’re living on borrowed time. So some doctors are already trying CBD as a complementary therapy, using it alongside traditional cancer treatments.
If you’re fighting cancer and interested in exploring the use of CBD, speak to a naturopathic or integrative medicine physician. But beware of frauds pedaling look-alike junk products. Check out my earlier report, “How to make sure your CBD is the GOOD STUFF,” for help.
