In many ways, it’s the Holy Grail of cancer care. Because it doesn’t just appear to treat the disease alone. But also to shrink one of the deadliest tumors and do it without any significant side effects.
Impossible? Well, until recently, most cancer docs would have sworn pumping you full of poison, zapping you with radiation, and slicing you up wasn’t just the best option. It was the only one.
And unfortunately, many still will.
Never mind that those mainstream approaches can send you home feeling more dead than alive. Or that, in many cases, sticking to those mainstream treatments alone often doesn’t significantly add to survival or increase the quality of life.
Instead, let’s take a look at how the “impossible” might be possible after all. Because a new case report could rewrite the book on cancer care.
It reveals a simple, affordable, natural therapy available to just about anyone, anywhere could do what many of those harsh and toxic treatments fail to do alone. It can potentially shrink the tumor and save your life.
SHRINK deadly tumors naturally
Lung cancer is the nation’s deadliest form of the disease, responsible for roughly one in four cancer deaths. And those who survive often struggle afterward.
But a case study finds a powerful natural therapy could shrink lung tumors with virtually no side effects. Yet, it’s been largely ignored for one of the worst reasons possible. Until recently, it was considered “taboo.”
The treatment is cannabidiol or CBD. It comes from the same plant as marijuana, making many in the mainstream dismiss it before reviewing the evidence.
In this case study, scientists reported on an 80-year-old longtime smoker who was diagnosed with lung cancer and refused treatment. She had seen her husband struggle with radiotherapy and didn’t want to suffer from those side effects herself.
Given the nature of the cancer, her life expectancy at this point was just 7 months at the maximum. In other words, she was given the proverbial six months to live, plus one.
Except this 80-year old had other plans. She decided to keep on living, and living, and living, instead. Oh, and although I wouldn’t recommend it, she continued to smoke, too.
Her secret? CBD oil. She began using it several times a day after her cancer diagnosis.
Docs still aren’t sure exactly why or how it worked. But they report it seemed to do the trick. Because when they checked in on the octogenarian’s tumor, they found it was shrinking.
About 2.5 years later (yes YEARS), despite being written off as dead in seven months, her tumor had shrunk by 76 percent.
And for the icing on the cake, she reported no side effects other than a reduced appetite. And even that may or may not have been linked to the CBD.
Could CBD work for YOUR cancer?
Now keep in mind this is just one published case study. So we still need a full clinical trial before anyone can say for sure what role CBD can play in fighting cancer.
But there have already been some positive studies showing CBD can inhibit the growth of cancer cells in mice with lung and colon cancer. And another senior with lung cancer at 81 had a near-total resolution of his lung tumor when using the extract.
Plus, CBD combined with THC (the psychoactive compound in marijuana) has killed glioblastoma cancer cells in the lab. And the lady at the center of this case study was using the full-strength stuff as well.
But many forms of CBD on the market have the THC removed. So if you’re looking into using cannabidiol in your own cancer battle and are interested in trying one with the psychoactive compound still in it, you should consider the local laws first.
Other patients battling various forms of cancer have reported that CBD has helped with the symptoms of the disease itself. Plus, it can ease the often debilitating side effects of conventional cancer treatments, including chemo and radiation.
Some folks also go right to the source and try medicinal cannabis. Many states now allow medical marijuana use.
Speak to your own doctor to see if either CBD or marijuana is worth considering as a complementary therapy to your own cancer treatment. And be sure to check out my earlier report How to make sure your CBD is the “good stuff.”
