You can’t avoid it. You’re powerless to stop it. And, besides, you may not even know it’s happening.
Pollution is taking its toll on your health. In fact, it’s causing damage inside your body at this very minute. And that’s true even if you don’t think there’s much of it where you live.
But today I have the inside scoop on the way to FIGHT BACK against this invisible threat. This simple, safe, and inexpensive natural therapy has the power to shield one of your body’s most vulnerable parts against the toxic effects of common pollutants.
This potent pollution shield can help build a toxin-blocking barrier around your brain. And that includes one of the most common hidden particles floating in the air all around the United States.
SAVE your brain from pollution damage
Don’t be fooled. Pollution is everywhere. Sure, it’s worse in an infamously smoggy city like Los Angeles. But the levels across America – including in small towns and more rural communities – are much higher than you’d think.
Even when the air meets U.S. EPA standards, it often falls short of the stricter (and safer) international standards. In fact, one study earlier this year found that merely cutting emissions to match World Health Organization standards would save 140,000 U.S. lives over a decade… most of them seniors.
But that would take political action. Today, I want to talk about something much simpler: Action YOU can take, RIGHT now, to protect ONE person. YOU.
New research finds that the omega-3 fatty acids in fish oil can help BLOCK the damage of PM2.5. That’s the most common pollutant threatening our health and our brains.
PM2.5 comes from auto exhaust, airplanes, power plants, fires, and more. And just about all of us are exposed to it. When you inhale the particles, they get into your lungs. And once inside your lungs, they move into the bloodstream.
From there, they can hitch a ride and go just about anywhere in your body, including directly into the brain. And once the pollutants set up shop in your brainbox, they can speed the “brain shrink” that’s linked to cognitive decline and dementia.
The secret to a bulkier brain
In the new study, as expected, seniors with higher levels of PM2.5 exposure generally had less brain volume. But then something rather UNEXPECTED happened.
Some of the volunteers didn’t have that same expected shrink. One group was found to have…
- MORE total brain volume
- LESS damage in the frontal, parietal, and temporal areas
And a little digging revealed what the bigger-brained folks had in common. They all had higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids, like the kind found in fish oil.
Over time, that could lead to better memory and extra protection from dementia.
The study focused on fish in the diet. And that’s, of course, still the best way to boost your omega-3 fatty acids.
But not everyone hits the right levels through diet alone. So, given all of the potential benefits – including heart protection and better circulation – you might want to consider taking an omega-3 supplement.
