It seems like you’ve tried everything to reign in your hypertension. But the medications, exercise, and even the natural therapies have ALL failed.
No matter what you try, your blood pressure keeps climbing.
And unfortunately, you can be sure of one thing. Your doctor’s next move will be to try to convince you to take MORE meds to bring your numbers down.
After all, that’s all he has in his bag of tricks.
But you might not want to swallow those pills quite yet, my friend. Because new research reveals the TRUE culprit behind far too many cases of high blood pressure, especially in seniors.
And I can assure you it’s NOT a lack of prescription pills.
In fact, the reason nothing has worked so far could be that you’re being undermined by a surprising source. Are you ready for this? It’s your own doctor.
He’s not trying to trip you up, of course. Your doc is only trying to help. But that’s exactly when he might be making this one big unintentional mistake.
I’ve got a way for you to spot that error so you can FINALLY turn things back around. And at your next doctor’s visit, instead of a new prescription, you can get a pat on the back for getting your blood pressure back on track.
The REAL reason your blood pressure is high?
Our hypertension risks tend to climb right along with the number of candles on our birthday cake. But mainstream medicine doctors make it sound like age alone causes blood pressure to rise.
And, well, that’s just bunk. In fact, one of the most common causes of hypertension has nothing to do with age at all. Or anything else that usually gets the blame for high BP, for that matter.
It’s actually the medications given to you by your own doctor.
Dozens of common drugs are KNOWN to cause blood pressure to rise. Yet, this simple fact often gets overlooked. Or worse, simply outright ignored.
The new research confirms it once again. Right now, one in five folks being treated for hypertension is on at least one drug known to cause high blood pressure. And one in twenty are taking two or more of these meds.
These aren’t just drugs with minor effects either. The new study estimates that quitting those medications could TOTALLY NORMALIZE blood pressure in half of these cases. Yes, HALF!
THESE drugs could be behind your hypertension
The most frequent culprit, according to the new report, is antidepressants. These drugs are taken by 10 percent of folks who are also on medication for high blood pressure.
Meanwhile, plain old curcumin has held its own against a major antidepressant, essentially matching the drug’s effectiveness in a breakthrough study. Plus, the all-natural supplement can also enhance blood flow, which means it could help reduce blood pressure at the same time.
Some of the other most common blood-pressure raising culprits, according to the new study, are…
- NSAIDs such as ibuprofen and naproxen (check out these alternatives)
- oral steroids (often used for gout, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.)
- antipsychotics (often given off-label for dozens of conditions)
- decongestants (including the popular over-the-counter stuff)
What do all these drugs have in common?
Well, they’re often totally unnecessary. In some cases, they’re even wildly inappropriate (especially those pain pills). In fact, one in three seniors is taking unneeded meds.
Work closely with an integrative medicine or naturopathic doctor on drug-free alternatives. And if your blood pressure snaps back to normal when you do, you just may find yourself being able to quit TWO drugs at the same time.
