With all the noise out there about “healthy aging,” most of the advice being given never really addresses the one BIG concern, does it, guys?
“What about those hiccups in the bedroom?”
Sure, they’ll drone on and on about what’s good for your heart. You can read article after article about things that’ll increase your lifespan, too.
And sure, both are obviously important. But let’s be honest. What good are a healthy heart and a longer life if you’re miserable the moment you walk into the bedroom?
I get it. A love life that’s growing cold on the back burner can make all the rest of it feel a bit pointless sometimes. So today, I want to talk about what far too many folks ignore when it comes to senior health.
Because new research reveals one easy step you can take today to help ensure you can keep the bedroom fires burning well into your later years.
Make it Mediterranean to boost bedroom performance
Surprisingly the solution for troubles in the bedroom starts in a whole different part of the house. To keep things cooking in the sack, you’re going to have to take a look at what’s in the kitchen first.
Because a fulfilling love life starts with what you eat.
It turns out the more junk in your diet, the higher your risk of trouble bubbling up down below. But new research reveals one change you can make that can send your risk of erectile dysfunction (E.D.) plunging.
And that’s to make a switch to the healthy and delicious Mediterranean diet.
Don’t worry. It’s not as big an adjustment as you might fear. In fact, you already know the basics.
- Scale back a little on the red meat in favor of a bit more fish and poultry.
- Indulge in more fruit, veggies, nuts, beans, olive oil, and whole grains.
- Continue to enjoy a moderate amount of delicious dairy and eggs.
And maybe most important of all, ditch all the ultra-processed foods.
The new study finds if you stick to this healthy lifestyle, your odds of a problem in your bedroom can plunge by 22 percent overall.
After 60, that same Mediterranean diet will still cut that risk by an impressive 18 percent. And it even works after 70, cutting the odds by a healthy 7 percent.
Tree trunk trick helps solve love life issues
If you’re already having some issues with function, it’s not too late.
First, make those dietary changes. And not just for the sake of your love life either, but for your LIFE-life too. As the same new study finds, the Mediterranean diet will also slash your risk of:
- diabetes
- heart disease
- high blood pressure
Other studies have found the delicious diet can also help prevent heart attack, stroke, and more.
But don’t stop there. Second, consider adding in a blood-flow booster.
Mediterranean-style eating is so effective at preventing cardiovascular problems AND protecting sexual function because it’s one of the best lifestyles for supporting healthy circulation.
And, of course, if you’re already having problems “down there,” it could be a sign of circulatory issues. So along with getting some tests from your doctor to make sure you’re not battling something more serious, consider supplementing with pine bark extract.
Pine bark is a potent natural blood-flow booster, which means it can be a love life hero. Last year, a study found it can improve erectile function by 45 percent in men with diabetes and E.D. and by 22 percent in guys with those same bedroom issues without diabetes.
