Millions of Americans battle back pain. In fact, around 80 percent of us will deal with this debilitating issue at some point in our life.
This is why it’s no surprise that there are entire books out there dedicated to the subject. But what IS surprising is when you bite the bullet and finally ask a conventional medicine doctor for help, odds are you’ll get just the opposite.
Because when you put your trust in the system to give you something that works for back pain, more often than not you’ll be offered the one thing that’s proven NOT to.
And new research confirms it. One of the most commonly used treatments for back pain is a big fat failure. It doesn’t work a little… or even help sometimes… it does absolutely NOTHING, and the new study proves it.
Yet you can bet right now, as your read this, doctors all across the country are STILL giving it to desperate back pain patients who deserve better.
So I’m going to flip that script today. I’ve got the solution you deserve. It not only can help relieve your back pain for REAL, but it also gets the job done without disturbing side effects.
Muscle relaxants don’t deliver on pain relief
Some 30 million Americans are taking muscle relaxants, and in many cases, it’s for back pain. But the new study shows that nearly all 30 million of them are being hoodwinked.
The comprehensive analysis of 31 studies involved some 18 different muscle relaxant medications. Researchers found the heavy-duty drugs simply don’t deliver on short-term back pain relief.
If there’s ever a benefit at all, it’s “too small to be important,” one of the authors told the UPI news agency. Most people, he said, would not be able to tell the difference from a placebo.
Now you might be thinking, not everything works in an instant. Maybe you need to take the relaxants for a few days… or even weeks… for the back pain to feel significantly better?
Well, some people certainly do feel better over time, and they might think the drug did the trick. But it didn’t. Over periods of up to 13 weeks, the study found that the drugs are no better than a placebo on pain intensity or disability relief.
Beat back pain without heavy-duty drugs
If you do start to feel better after a while, it’s not the drug at work. It’s just the nature of back pain. The hurt comes and goes, sometimes seemingly with no apparent rhyme or reason.
That’s why people often THINK that a drug, a special secret move, a change in sleep position, or whatever else they’ve tried has cured their back pain. But in reality, it’s often none of the above.
Don’t bother with prescription or over-the-counter painkillers, either. Studies show they might provide a bit of short-term relief in some cases. But they come with significant side effects and don’t do much of anything over the long haul. (And don’t even THINK about toxic opioids.)
The new study recommends going in a different direction. The researchers say you should try physical therapy and core strengthening exercises. As well as collaborating with a doctor to find the actual cause of the pain to correct it.
Finally, some common sense is coming out of the halls of conventional medicine. But unfortunately, it’s not common enough.
The fact is back pain has so many different causes. Popping a pill is never going to be the right answer. But most docs will still prescribe painkillers and muscle relaxants because that’s the only way they know how to “treat” back pain.
And, of course, both types of drugs don’t just fail to work. They can also lead to falls and injuries as well as other problems… especially in seniors.
But I know what all those doctors apparently don’t. And that’s five powerful ways to beat back pain without drugs or surgery. And you can access them all for free by clicking right HERE.
