Avocado is my go-to breakfast every Saturday morning (Sundays sometimes, too). It’s delicious, filling, and healthy.
And those reasons alone make it a good idea to put this funny-looking fruit on the menu more often. But there are even MORE impressive benefits hiding beneath that green skin.
Avocados are loaded with health-protecting nutrients. And new research has revealed how these nutrients could help BLOCK one of today’s deadliest diseases.
The new study found avocado could help…
- power your cells
- burn through fat
- restore insulin sensitivity
In other words, this healthy fruit could help shield folks from two of today’s biggest killers…. OBESITY, and DIABETES.
Add more avocado to your menu
I’ll have more details on those important benefits in just a moment. But first, let’s take a quick look at how you can sneak more of this tasty fruit into your OWN diet.
For example, you can…
- Cut it in half, remove the pit and put some seasoned egg inside. Bake and you’ve got a perfect breakfast.
- Slice it or dice it to jazz up any salad. It can even make kale edible for folks who aren’t fans.
- Use it to make everyone’s favorite… guacamole. Mash it up with some garlic, tomato, and your favorite herbs, and it’s done.
- Toss a couple of avocado slices and a dash of spice onto organic whole grain bread to transform humble toast into something exciting.
And of course, you can replace risky vegetable oils with avocado oil to make your meals tastier AND healthier.
Help BLOCK & REVERSE diabetes with avocado?!?
But the avocados BIGGEST trick isn’t what it can do for your dishes, of course. It’s what it can do for your body.
Avocado is packed with healthy fats, which are proven to help satisfy the appetite. That means when you eat more of IT, you end up eating less of OTHER foods. And that can lead to losing weight without even trying.
Plus, the new study uncovered one avocado compound, in particular, that’s incredibly potent when it comes to fighting off diabetes. This powerful nutrient, called avocatin B (AvoB), is unique to the avocado.
In other words, this tiny fat molecule isn’t found in any other food on the planet. And in experiments, it’s been shown to have one very remarkable power. AvoB can help power up the energy factories in your cells called mitochondria.
This is critical, because when you’re diabetic, or in danger of becoming so, your mitochondria suffer. They lose energy and can no longer effectively burn fatty acids.
That, in turn, stops the body from burning fat and leads to both weight gain and insulin resistance.
But AvoB seems to help restore that process.
AvoB compound fights insulin sensitivity
In experiments, when mice were put on a diet to induce diabetes, but given five weeks of AvoB supplementation at the same time, they…
- gained LESS weight
- IMPROVED in insulin sensitivity
They’re testing avocado-derived AcoB in humans now. So far, they’re finding that it’s safe and may lead to a little weight loss. I’ll be sure to keep you up-to-date as more results come in
Meanwhile, if you like avocado as much as I do, you can do your OWN “experiments” merely be eating more of it. There are dozens of proven potential benefits, including helping to reduce diabetes risk.
For best results, combine your avocado with other natural strategies. Cut out processed foods, eat more organic, natural ingredients, slash junk carbs from your meals, and consider blood sugar supporting supplements such as chromium and berberine.
