You THOUGHT you could handle it. Early on, when arthritis first hit, it seemed like something you could manage.
But that was just one of life’s cruel pranks. It was Phase One or what doc’s like to call mild arthritis. It’s when the damage isn’t too bad yet, and neither are the aches.
The nightmare pain comes later.
Phases Two and Three – moderate and severe pain – are enough to make a grown man cry (I’ve seen it happen). And that’s especially true on those REALLY bad days.
You might think you’re destined to pop an endless parade of pain pills. And that you are eventually DOOMED to surgery. But don’t give up hope just yet.
New research reveals a totally natural therapy that can deliver BIG pain-relieving benefits. And, incredibly, it’s not just in Phase One.
For many folks, this stuff helps in those more painful later phases, giving you LASTING relief helping to restore your quality of life, too.
And best of all, it’s not an exotic, hard to find herb or complicated machine. It’s a simple supplement that’s affordable, and you can pick up just about anywhere.
Dial down arthritis pain with omega-3 fatty acids
Honestly, I’m starting to wonder if there’s anything fish oil CAN’T do.
It works for overall heart health. The oil has been shown to help extend lives in heart failure. And this treasure from the sea can even enhance the brain, warding off both depression and cognitive decline.
But the latest research adds yet another benefit to fish oil’s already impressive resume. And it’s one you can literally FEEL every day. Fish oil was shown to significantly soothe arthritis pain.
Now, if you’re already taking fish oil and it hasn’t helped dial down your pain level, you might think it’s not working for you. But there could be a reason for that.
Most people DON’T take enough of the joint-soothing oil to battle arthritis. The new study tested higher levels that were about three to four times higher than what people typically take. Volunteers were given 2.4 grams per day of EPA and DHA rich oil.
Despite the higher-than-normal dosage, it’s generally considered safe. Although keep in mind, fish oil CAN thin the blood (that’s why it can help some folks reduce their blood pressure). So, to avoid any conflicts with your current medications or care, always run any changes to your supplement routine by your doc.
Sleep better, move better, FEEL better
Over 16 weeks, the fish oil delivered pretty incredible benefits to people with agonizing Phase Two or Phase Three arthritis.
They had significant reductions in both:
- pain burden
The “burden” is all the stuff that accompanies your arthritis pain like sleep struggles, physical limitations, the psychological toll of living in pain, and more. But it was ALL improved with some simple fish oil.
There’s one strange wrinkle to this study (isn’t there always?). The researchers also tested curcumin, with and without fish oil, for arthritis pain. And in this case, they found it didn’t really make a difference.
But judging from the stacks of positive research on curcumin and pain, not to mention my own experiences, I’m confused about those results.
Maybe the dose was too low. Perhaps the scientists used the wrong stuff. Or there could be some other unknown cause. But curcumin has an excellent track record for tackling inflammation and pain. In fact, just a few weeks ago, it even aced a study for arthritis.
