I’ve seen more than my fair share of utter nonsense out there in the news. And every single day seems to bring a bit more.
But nothing can top this so-called “news” item for sheer boldness. The new report claims we reached our longevity limit long ago. Aging is set in stone.
We’re not living longer, this team insists. In fact, they say, any increase in the human lifespan over the generations is nothing more than an illusion.
You’ve got a timer inside you, counting down. And there’s not a darned thing you can do about it, according to the researchers.
Well, my friend, I’ve got some REAL news to counter that nonsense: Your fate ISN’T set in stone. You’re NOT doomed to shuffle off this mortal coil on a set schedule.
And you certainly CAN extend your “timer,” beat the clock and add years to your life.
The TRUTH about that aging study
The mainstream has spent YEARS filling our brains with cutesy sayings like “age is a state of mind!” and “you’re only as young as you feel!”
Turns out they’ll sell you all those catchy little phrases in a Hallmark card. And they’ll line the hallways of your doctor’s office with motivational posters featuring similar platitudes.
But behind the scenes, they’re snickering at you for believing any of it.
The new study is proof of that, as the researchers essentially claim all the science on anti-aging is little more than bunk.
First, they assert that the human lifespan hasn’t increased at all. It only looks that way because so many people died as babies and during childhood years ago.
Adults in the past, they say, lived into their 70s or 80s… pretty much the same as today. Plus, since they’ve found other primates have “limits,” it must be true for you too.
While the new study claims you can’t slow the clock, I’ve got something else to show you. And that’s rock-solid proof the neither your rate of aging nor how long you live is set in stone.
Just as your choices can speed the process up… you can also slow aging down. And that, my friend, can extend your years here on God’s green Earth.
The main source of rapid aging, of course, is oxidative stress.
As I’ve explained before, it’s caused by exposure to free radicals from various sources. Those include the empty carbs and toxins in the ultra-processed foods at the heart of the Western diet and smoking, pollution, and radiation.
“Beat the Clock” method could help you live longer
But let’s get to the good stuff. And that’s how to SLOW aging down with the “Beat the Clock” method.
It starts with avoiding those free radical triggers I just mentioned. That means ditching the junk foods and switching to a Mediterranean or ketogenic (“keto”) diet. Giving up smoking. And reducing your exposure to pollution and radiation.
But that’s not all. Emerging evidence finds that if there is a “timer” inside your body, it’s telomeres. Those are the little tips that sit on the ends of each strand of your DNA.
As we age, they shrink. Oxidative stress and other damage can make telomeres shrink even faster, essentially fast-forwarding aging. And despite what the team behind the new study wants you to believe, I’ve got proof that you CAN slow it down.
Research published in 2018, for example, found that three key carotenoids can help give you longer and stronger telomeres:
- beta carotene
You’ll get them by eating a wide range of colorful fruits (stick to berries if you’re going keto) and veggies every day.
In addition, fish oil and vitamin D have each been shown to have protective effects on your telomeres. So make sure you’re getting plenty of each.
But don’t stop there. Research points to another culprit that contributes to rapid aging. And that’s inflammation.
While we often think of inflammation as something that happens when, say, we stub our toe, that’s acute inflammation. On the other hand, chronic inflammation is the internal kind that we can’t see, but that’s doing a lot of damage just the same.
The easiest way to start attacking that inflammation is by adding some anti-inflammatory foods to your diet. I’ve got a free cheat sheet to help you get started right here.
