If you’re feeling slow and sluggish these days, but can’t figure out why your thyroid could be to blame.
But don’t despair, you don’t have to drag through your days feeling fat and fatigued. De hecho, a few relatively small changes could help turn things around and send your energy levels soaring.
8 consejos para una vida más saludable thyroid
Following are my 8 best quick and easy to implement tips for putting the brakes on thyroid problems and restoring your energy levels.
#1 Quit smoking:
There are many thyroid “bombs” out there and cigarettes top the list. Smokers have lower thyroid-stimulating hormone and higher free T4 and free T3 levels than non-smokers.
De hecho, these numbers can be so out of whack it can make it look like you don’t have thyroid disease even when you do.
#2 Drive old cars:
Newer isn’t always better. Si usted tiene problemas de tiroides un vehículo más antiguo podría ser justo lo que recetó el doctor. New cars off-gas all the bromide and that’s competing with iodine in your thyroid gland. You’ll take up the bromine instead of iodine, and that will make you feel fat, fuzzy in the brain and fussy.
#3 Reduce hydrogen peroxide:
We all make hydrogen peroxide in our cells as part of cellular metabolism, but some of us make too much and it causes pain and fatigue. This compound is a free radical. You can reduce it with Catalase and Glutathione supplements.
#4 Cut back chlorine exposure:
Cuidado en piscinas y jacuzzis. Si pasa mucho tiempo disfrutando de las piscinas o jacuzzis ejemplo tomar una cápsula de yodo (about 6.25mg) una vez o dos veces a la semana para restaurar yodo perdido. El cloro en la piscina compite con yodo y puede suprimir la captación de yodo hasta el punto en que estás hipotiroidismo.
#5 Change your toothpaste:
Switch to a fluoride-free brand because fluoride is a bully. It competes with iodine in your thyroid gland, which will almost always absorb fluoride over iodine. When this happens it blocks production of thyroid hormone.
#6 Volcar la basura:
Dejar de comer dulces y refrescos. cambios de azúcar en la sangre causan terribles desequilibrios en los niveles de azúcar e insulina. You’ll never get well if you’re eating this stuff. Never. It is simply not physiologically possible.
High insulin (needed to neutralize the sweets) is a known factor for cancer, diabetes and pain, plus high insulin makes you overweight and tired.
#7 Skip these “healthy” raw foods:
Minimize the amount of raw goitrogenic foods you are eating. Goitrogenic foods reduce your ability to absorb iodine which reduces thyroid levels and starves the reproductive organs of healthy iodine.
Avoid foods that are goitrogenic unless you cook them. For example, juicing raw kale every morning is a no-no in my book. Cooking it daily is fine and incredibly healthy. See the difference?
Watch out for superfood green powder drink mixes that contain goitrogens. Some common ones include alfalfa, broccoli, and cauliflower powders and if you drink this every day it could backfire and cause fatigue.
#8 Boost your digestion:
The food you eat isn’t always broken down completely. This partial digestion is due to years of insult from a bad diet, which reduces secretion of digestive enzymes and increases zonulin. So I suggest you take digestive enzymes to help you completely break down all the food you eat. Pancreatin, pepsin, bromelain and others supplements can help reduce the amount of ‘circulating immune complexes’ that trigger autoimmune flare-ups.
