Our friends, family and coworkers mean well. But the seemingly endless variety of junk food they tempt us with, from doughnuts to pizza, can easily sabotage our best efforts to lose weight.
A few days of a bagel for breakfast, delivery for lunch and pizza for dinner (followed up with a slice of homemade pie for dessert, of course) and before you know it all that hard work you’ve put in to slim down has been undone
But don’t lose hope. You can quickly get things back on track, and it’s going to be far easier than you ever imagined.
In fact, by applying just seven quick-and-easy to follow rules you can jumpstart your weight loss and shed the pounds fast.
7 food “tricks” for rapid weight loss
Do a full 12-hour fast every day between dinner and breakfast every day.
2. Follow the 2–hour rule:
Stop eating 2-hours before bed (this is so you don’t eat unnecessary calories at night, and also so that you don’t suffer from the ‘silent’ heartburn epidemic that affects 40 percent of Americans)
3. Banish one “vice”:
Remove 1 temptation for 30 days (i.e. booze, dairy, soda, diet drinks, etc.)
4. Practice the 3 and 1 rule:
Eat 3 servings of green vegetables per day and try a new vegetable each week
5. Bump up the fiber:
Eat 25g (female) or 35g (male) of fiber per day
6. Watch your water intake:
Drink 3 liters of water per day.
7. Pump up the protein:
Eat 0.5 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight (if you are overweight) and up to 1.0 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight once you’re at your goal weight
